How to Write a Funny Cat Meme Caption
The best cat captions work because cats look like they are thinking something very human. Your job is to say it out loud.
Four rules
- Match the face. A grumpy stare wants a complaint, a wide-eyed cat wants shock, and a sleepy cat wants an excuse.
- Be specific. "I did not knock the glass off the table" beats "I am a cat".
- Keep it short. If it needs three lines, cut it to one.
- Put the cat in charge. Cats never apologise, they just announce.
Examples to adapt
- "Feed me. Now."
- "Monday again?"
- "I was told there would be treats."
- "The box is mine now."
- "Zero regrets."
Pick a template on the meme maker and try a few. The caption chips there are a quick starting point.
